CSV sample checker
Paste a small, fictional or redacted sample. Check for common formatting and parsing issues before a spreadsheet review. The check runs in your browser. It does not upload, store, send, alter, or execute the sample.

Record numbers refer to parsed CSV records, which can span multiple text lines. Repeated rows are exact parsed-string matches and remain untouched. Displayed excerpts are limited to 160 characters; at most 200 findings are shown.
What the report means
These are review prompts for this sample, not a full check of business data. A repeated row can be legitimate. Slash dates are flagged when their first two numbers could be different month/day interpretations; the tool does not choose one or validate every date. Formula-prefix warnings include cells beginning with =, +, -, or @ after whitespace. Ordinary negative numbers may also be flagged.
Nothing is removed or converted. The checker does not assess missing transactions, totals, store settings, or whether order IDs should be unique. Keep the original export and confirm its meaning before making changes.
